What movies and what kind of movies are you favorite ever? What movies have impressed you deeply?

My favorite movie is Evil Dead II. I saw it first when I was about 16 as a VHS bootleg and was blown away by it´s inventiveness and intensity regarding the blending of horror and comedy. I was thinking “who comes up with this stuff?” and it was the first time I really became aware of the job of a director. So around about that time, I decided I want to make movies as well. I still enjoy inventive horror and suspense movies coupled with some humor the most.

What was the last memorable movie you saw?

Well, several- I enjoy the Crank series and Drag Me to Hell from my old favorite Sam Raimi. Another piece of flawless directing to me. Another great movie was 96 hours- that came out of nowhere and was probably last years best action movie. Also I think District 9 was a great movie, great directing, acting, special effects.

What artists/performers have impressed you lately or who are your favourite artist/performers/bands?

Actor Axel Wedekind in “Iron Doors” ;) Apart from him I´m a huge fan of Jason Statham and I also liked Alison Lohman in “Drag Me to Hell”, a real break out performance last year I think. Regarding bands- I am irish and a big U2 fan ever since Bono was my uncles best man and sung at his wedding in 1989… so I was greatly impressed by their 360 show last year which I saw twice.

What kind of music have you listened to lately or feel happy to suggest?

Britney Spears! ;)

No, Rammstein!!! Well, I currently live in Germany and they rock! Also I shot a children´s movie called “Amundsen the penguin” for German television a few years back. Till Lindemann, the singer from Rammstein, was a bad guy in it and we had a lot of fun- a great guy with a great sense of humor. Also a poet in his own right.

Tänan Stephen!
Kaader filmist Evil Dead 2.
